*zoom* Knitting 101, Tuesdays, October 6-November 17 (no Nov. 3), 6:30-7:30 p.m.,
This beginner class is designed for newbies and is filled with skills to give you a solid start in the art of knitting. You will learn how to hold your yarn and needles, cast on, make knit stitches, cast off, and sew up a short seam to create a red and white striped peppermint can cozy ready for your holidays. We will then advance to purl stitches, using stitch markers, “reading our knitting”, and working a duplicate stitch to create a beautiful star effect on a blue field coaster. I will teach with both the Continental and English methods, but will encourage you to try Continental for speed, ease, and less stress on your body. No experience needed. Gail Kollmar, $60 ($65)
