Adams County Arts Council is proud to offer the 22st Annual STAR Grant Program. We thank the Adams County Commissioners, the Robert C. Hoffman Charitable Endowment Trust, and the Borough of Gettysburg for their generous support of this program which would not exist without their understanding of the value of the arts in our community.
The STAR Grant Program was created as a result of a 1994-5 community assessment that determined a need for funding for quality arts programs in schools and the community. Since then the STAR Grant Program has been helping schools and artists working to make this an arts-rich community.
The first 20 years, the STAR Grant Program has awarded more than $256,000 and has served more than 280,210 people with a wealth of arts programs.
ACAC administers the STAR Grant Program. Our role is to make applications available to Adams County non-profits, schools, and artists, collate the grant applications, find community members to serve as panelists who read and rank the grants according to the system defined in the application directions, send out the letters and contracts, mail checks to successful applicants, receive the final project reports, then report to our funders.
Please read the application directions carefully and good luck! The STAR Grant Program helps ACAC to cultivate an arts-rich community.
We are now accepting applications for the 2020 STAR Grant program.
Applications for 2020 STAR Grants are to be postmarked or delivered by November 1, 2019.
