Beginner/Intermediate Architectural Illustration
June 6-27, 10 am-12pm
Join us for this four-day class designed to introduce the fundamentals of architectural illustration in a fun and approachable way. Meeting for two hours each Saturday, students will learn how to sketch and draw buildings while developing techniques that bring architectural subjects to life.
Working in your choice of pencil, ink, or colored pencil, you’ll explore the basics of perspective, light and shadow, texture, and composition. Instructor Cory Drake will guide students step-by-step through the process of creating a realistic illustration of a favorite architectural structure.
Participants are encouraged to bring a reference photo of a meaningful or interesting building, such as their home, a favorite local landmark, a covered bridge, or another architectural subject they would enjoy drawing.
All materials are included.
