HOLIDAY GINGERBREAD TRADITION CONTINUES IN NEW VENUE
The 9th Annual Gingerbread Celebration & Holiday Mart, presented by the Arts Council and Kennie’s Market, has a new downtown Gettysburg location, the Grant Building at 2 Chambersburg St., and will be part of the inaugural Gettysburg Christmas Festival.
Businesses are invited to enter a house and compete for the coveted Ginger Trophy. Amateur, school, and nonprofit bakers win cash awards. The public is invited to view and vote with quarters for their favorite, locally crafted gingerbread house.
The free event also features quality crafts by local artisans, children’s activities including the perennial favorite Cumberland Valley Woodturners’ pencil-making station (fee charged), silent auction with great holiday gift baskets, and baked goods.
Volunteers are needed to help with various tasks and staffing the event. Please contact the Center if you can help.
