ACAC’s 20th Annual Juried Art Exhibition

Entry Deadline: Friday, March 15
The entry form, entry fee and accompanying images must be received by or postmarked by deadline date.

Notification: Friday, April 12
Artists whose pieces have been accepted will be notified by e-mail no later than April 12, 2024. Details for delivery or shipping of accepted work will be included.

Shipping instructions will be included in the acceptance letter.

Opening & Awards Reception: Saturday, June 8, 5 – 7 pm
Schmucker Art Gallery, Gettysburg College • Awards ceremony, 6 pm

Toast the Artists Celebration: Saturday, June 8, 7 – 9 pm
The Atrium, Gettysburg College • Features live music, signature cocktails, wine, beer, heavy hors d’ouevres and a silent auction. Artists with work accepted into the Juried Art Exhibition and ACAC members who submit their work for silent auction are invited to attend this special event following the Awards presentation as ACAC’s honored guests at no charge. Additional tickets will be available for $75 each.

Exhibition Location, Dates & Hours
Schmucker Art Gallery, Schmucker Hall, Gettysburg College • 300 N. Washington Street, Gettysburg, PA Saturday, June 1 to Friday, June 21 (Show closes at 2 pm on June 21)
Gallery Hours: Monday through Saturday, 10 am – 4 pm • Closed Sundays

Pick-up from Schmucker Gallery: Friday, June 21, 2 – 4 pm & Saturday, June 22, 11 am – 1 pm
You must have your items removed before 1 pm on Saturday, June 22. ACAC reserves the right to remove artwork from its display space to expedite the tear-down process. If an artist fails to pickup their art by the pick-up deadline, it becomes property of the ACAC.

Insurance
While in the exhibit, art will be insured by the Schmucker Art Gallery.

Eligibility: Any person over the age of 18 is eligible to enter. Pieces are presented to the juror for
selection anonymously. All pieces must be available for sale during the Exhibition. ACAC will take a 40% commission from the sale of art (35% for ACAC members). Please factor this into your price.

Entry Fee: $30 members/$45 non-members

Agreement: Submission of work to the exhibition constitutes an agreement to comply with rules, conditions and requirements listed on this form.
• Entries must be the original work of the submitting artist and completed within the past three years. (2021 through the entry deadline).
• Works should be no larger than 60 inches, framed/hangready or display dimensions, in any direction.
• Entries may NOT have been accepted for exhibition in prior ACAC Juried Art Exhibitions.
• ACAC and Schmucker Art Gallery reserve the right to reject any work. Juror will select pieces for exhibit anonymously.
• All work must be free standing or hang-ready.
• All work must be available for sale during the Exhibition.
• Labeled work must include title, date, price or insurance value if not for sale, artists’ name and city/town and state.
• No prints or copies of original works will be accepted. Digital prints will be considered original art only if accompanied by the artist’s statement confirming same.
• Once an item has been accepted it may not be withdrawn or the conditions of sale changed without the consent of the Art Exhibition Committee.
• Art sales do not include reproduction rights. The artist and buyer must negotiate separately.
• Artwork receiving request of purchase will be sold on a “first-come/first-served” basis.
• Artwork purchased but not collected will be retained by ACAC. Every effort will be made to contact the buyer. If the sale remains incomplete after 3 months, the artist can reclaim the work.
• ACAC & Schmucker Gallery reserve the right to photograph work for publicity and education purposes. Please indicate any objections in writing and attach to entry form.
• ACAC & Schmucker Gallery are not responsible for storage of artwork after June 22, 2024.

SUBMISSION FORM: ENTRY INFORMATION ACAC prefers that artists submit their entries online at www.adamsarts.org. However, if you need to enter your work non-electronically for consideration by the juror, please submit this completed entry form with the entry fee, and digital images on a single, otherwise blank USB drive. A maximum of three pieces may be submitted. Submit one image for 2-dimensional and two images for 3-dimensional work. Use a permanent marker, not a paper label, and print your name clearly on the USB. USBs will not be returned. Please retain a copy for your records. Use a .jpg file format at 300 dpi and no larger than 4 MB in size for each image. Please label each saved image on your USB as follows:
