Creating Charcoal Illustrations, Fridays, February 21-March 28, 10-noon

Charcoal has been used as an art tool for thousands of years, dating back to at least 30,000 BC. and is still a medium of choice today. Using charcoal, you will learn techniques and how to integrate specific tools to enhance and add drama to your composition. You will discover there is so much versatility when you use this medium.  You will learn how to work with various blending brushes as you work with three charcoal pencils. Compositions will include winter studies along a stream, a lake with rugged mountain terrain, a birch tree setting off snow covered road as well as other interesting studies that enhance this useful medium.
