Fall Plein Air Painting in Gettysburg
Tuesdays, September 1-22, 2-5 pm
Experience the beauty of autumn through the art of plein air painting in this four-week outdoor painting series set in historic Gettysburg. As the landscape transforms with vibrant fall colors, you’ll explore some of the area’s most scenic and inspiring locations while learning to paint directly from observation.
Each week, participants will meet at a different outdoor site to capture the unique character of Gettysburg’s rolling fields, historic architecture, monuments, and seasonal scenery. Through demonstrations and individualized instruction, students will learn techniques for composition, color mixing, atmospheric perspective, and painting changing light and weather conditions.
Suitable for watercolor, acrylic, oil, pastel, or drawing media, this class welcomes beginners as well as experienced artists looking to strengthen their outdoor painting skills. Bring your supplies and set up for the outdoors!
